I am a Certified Executive Chef with 23 years of cooking
experience. I am a member of the American Culinary Federation and was Vice-President of the chapter for three (3) years. My main objective is to provide fresh, appetizing and safe food cooked from scratch. I believe in making fresh stocks, sauces and making everything from the freshest local ingredients. I began my career working in country clubs and restaurants while teaching as a part time instructor for a local culinary school. My background also includes working as the director of the culinary program at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for three (3) years and as the personal chef for the Pittsburgh Steelers for five (5) years. My dream has always been to own and operate a restaurant and catering operation and I am now living my dream. The "New" Export Deli offers everything from typical deli type foods to include fresh chicken salad, tuna salad, potato salad, pasta salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, and fresh fruit salad prepared daily, my own slow roasted Turkey Breast, Roast Beef and Corned Beef, pizza made to order with fresh pizza dough baked in a brick oven to upscale items such as Sushi, Filet Mignon, and Gourmet Salads. I offer daily specials for lunch and dinner changing weekly. These are just a small portion of the items I have to offer sold in the deli and through catered events.
